Art Lives Here was created as a response to the need for a broader audience in the Prince George’s County Gateway Arts District. Our team integrated community partners’ communications programs, a strategy that ultimately increased visibility, foot traffic, and laid the groundwork for stronger economic development initiatives.
Within a two year period, more than half a million dollars was invested in programming, community engagement and marketing. In 2016, a third round of funding was awarded to the Gateway Community Development Corporation for phase III of the project—the Art Lives Here incubator, now known as the Gateway Media Arts Lab.
